what's an AOE review
So SDCC's Hasbro panel was today! Stuff happened, let's talk about it.
I guess we've already seen everything for AOE then. I give up hope on a Deluxe Stinger. Fucking bullshit, you could have at least given us a retooled Bumblebee instead of that shitty Hot Shot/Tracks/whatever.
So Generations next year is literally just combiners, at least on the Deluxe/Voyager end. Superion, Menasor and... an Optimus Prime combiner. Sure!
The Aerialbots look neat, the combined mode looks good, though it's really... wide. Particularly the legs. The individual bots look cool, but they're VERY G1, not much update to their designs. Also, is the helicopter even supposed to be Slingshot? It's a helicopter and not a jet, and 'Alpha Bravo', which is the must stupid name I've heard in a while, isn't even close. He kinda reminds me of a mix between G1 and RB Blades.
Menasor is... okay-ish? The proportions are pretty bad. The head sculpt looks awesome, but it's tiny, and like Superion, he's super wide. The individual robots look way better than the combined form. It's amazing how good that Motormaster looks considering it's that awful Optimus mold we saw at Botcon. I dig Offroad as a different character from Wildrider, and is Dead End using an exhaust pipe as a club??
New look at the new RID cartoon. Looks very okay. It's WIP, obviously, since the show isn't out until next year. The designs are still really generic to me, having a hard time getting into this. But holy shit, Strongarm. The design isn't anything too special, but goddammit, it's a fembot, a bulky fembot at that. How can I not love her? Underbite is neat, like that it's a beast that turns into a vehicle.
As for the toys, the One Steps and Legions hold no interest to me. Deluxe/Warrior Bumblebee looks alright, the leg kibble is a bummer, hope it doesn't limit him too much. He's in a pretty bad pose though, so I'll need to see more of him. I want to see Strongarm's mainline toy.
So yeah, pretty much it. I'm so disappointed in the lack of Stinger, but what was revealed is pretty cool. Hope we get giftsets of the combiners, getting the individual members might be a bitch considering they're basically made up of six figures each. Also, apparently we're getting a Legends Huffer. I want a Pipes retool.

Top 10 Transformers of 2020
Long time no see, anyone who still actively watches me! 2020 is over, and well, there's really nothing to say about it that hasn't been said already. At least there were some good toy robots, and pretty much out of tradition at this point I'm gonna share my top 10. 10. Studio Series Sentinel Prime: To be honest I wasn't entirely sure who to give the 10th spot out of a few different figures, but the appeal of finally having a good representation of Movie Sentinel is giving him an edge. I only ever had the DOTM Voyager before and while this one isn't one of the absolute best Studio Series figures, it's a hell of a step up over that thing. He captures Sentinel's regal look and proportions well, there's some pretty nice articulation, and I enjoy the transformation. And really a Studio Series level Sentinel Prime headsculpt was always gonna be irresistible. 9. Studio Series Scrapper: Coming in right after Sentinel, here's his wave mate! Oh man was I excited for this figure. 10 year old
Some interesting new Studio Series listings
It took me like 5 minutes to figure out how to start a journal with this site layout lmao https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/studio-series-leader-grindor-and-ravage-and-86-deluxe-gnaw-and-rotf-sideswipe.1194700/ https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/studio-series-rotf-bumblebee-w-sam-and-studio-series-jolt-listings.1194695/ (Jesus Christ do not read the comments) I pretty much never do a journal on something as small and random as this anymore but I wanted to get some thoughts out about this. "Deluxe 86 Gnaw".... this goes along with the Leader class "86 Grimlock" listing from the other day, which I was a little concerned about but thought might just be a silly one off redeco inspired by the 86 movie's 35th anniversary, or even a typo, but uhhh doesn't seem like it. Looks like we're getting G1 figures in Studio Series now... The Transformers brand has just gotten ridiculous with the G1 at this point. Getting G1 figures in fuckin Studio Series when we're right in the middle of
Toy Fair 2020
It's that wonderful time of the year, Toy Fair! Our first one of the 2020s! Let's talk about some of the Transformers that were shown off, after most of them being leaked the day before, as is starting to become tradition...
EARTHRISE
I've gotta be honest, Generations interests me less and less these days. I just really don't like the WFC trilogy's direction of making everything so G1 cartoon slavish, I miss when Generations figures felt like updates of G1 characters and weren't just about cartoon accuracy. I haven't gotten much at all from Siege and I don't plan to get that much from Earthrise, but hey, I'll talk about what's new.

Studio Series Devastator fully revealed!
It's been years since I made journals about individual pieces of news, buttt this happened today and I just really wanted to make a quick journal on it. The last two Constructicons! And Devastator himself!
Overload looks awesome. I pretty much guessed that he wouldn't be the crab concept, because the Legends toy and every brief appearance he made in the 2009 days used the bipedal design so I figure that's the "final" one, so I'm not disappointed in that. He has the four MASSIVE arms with all of the brutal looking hand weapons so I'm happy there. Really wanna see how effective his articulation will be though, it's hard to tell. Alt mode looks
