So the Hasbro panel at Botcon was today, and that means new reveals. Now let's talk about them!
First up, movie toys. You'd think there'd be a bit more hype for the movie since it comes out in six days, but I guess not. They didn't show shit, in terms of Deluxes/Voyagers/Leaders at least. Where's Stinger? There was a Deluxe Stinger on the big database leak last year, and IIRC we're getting 12 Deluxes and we've seen 11. Maybe it'll be at SDCC. But let's look at what's here.
Hot Shot: Not interested in this at all, which is weird, because I thought Hot Shot from Crosshairs would be cool when I first saw the mold. Probably has something to do with the fact this is basically Tracks, and it just looks boring to me.
Breakout set: Overall doesn't catch my interest, but FARMAGEDDON. That is amazing.
Autobots Unite: This is pretty fucking cool. Crosshairs' alt mode deco looks amazing, Hound has camo, everything overall has a ton of paint apps... don't see myself buying it, but it's cool.
Rollbar: OFFSCREEN CHARACTER. THE SONIC RS IS NOT A ROBOT. YOU CAN SHUT UP NOW.
Power battler Vehicon: Huh, the Rally Fighter. Really surprised that's getting a toy. Wish it and Rollbar could get Deluxes. OH WELL.
So yeah, not much. Really disappointed.
GENERATIONS
Arcee: Eh, not feeling it. It's not terrible, but I'm just not thrilled by it. It just looks... off. Though, I'm one of the few people who doesn't give a shit about G1 Arcee, so I'm not disappointed or anything.
Chromia: Okay, I dig this. It's a Sandstorm tier retool of PRID Arcee, and I think it works. She has even more back kibble than the original Arcee version, and I'm not a fan of Chromia as a bike, but I think it looks good! I like that they bulked her up a bit, I like to think of Chromia as more of a bruiser. I'll get it!
Brainstorm: I don't like Headmasters, I think they're dumb. But holy fuck, this is awesome. Very little kibble, somehow his head manages to not look like a stupid block... I think I'll get this too.
Voyager Prime: Oh my God, this is HIDEOUS. Seriously, what the fuck? Horrible proportions, strangely cartoon-y in a way that doesn't work, weird truck mode... ugh. Not interested whatsoever.
Leader Megatrons: G1 version looks okay. Won't buy it because I don't collect Leaders, but it's okay. The Armada version is a nice effort, and I love that they're showing love to Armada, but it doesn't quite work for me.
Legends Bombshell: Looks damn cool. The bug mode is adorable. Might try and get it.
Legends Powerglide: Also looks great. Robot mode is a bit kibbly, but other than that I dig it.
Legends Thundercracker: That sure is a Thundercracker. Snark aside, the mold looks great in blue.
Legends Windcharger: Looks really bad. Why is the head so damn tiny?
COMBINERS: I can dig this. I can definitely dig this.
Overall, I'm a bit underwhelmed, honestly. I ended up being meh on a lot of the big reveals, and I'm disappointed in the lack of new movie stuff. I hope Deluxe Stinger gets revealed soon, I'm 110% POSITIVE he was a part of the database leak.

Top 10 Transformers of 2020
Long time no see, anyone who still actively watches me! 2020 is over, and well, there's really nothing to say about it that hasn't been said already. At least there were some good toy robots, and pretty much out of tradition at this point I'm gonna share my top 10. 10. Studio Series Sentinel Prime: To be honest I wasn't entirely sure who to give the 10th spot out of a few different figures, but the appeal of finally having a good representation of Movie Sentinel is giving him an edge. I only ever had the DOTM Voyager before and while this one isn't one of the absolute best Studio Series figures, it's a hell of a step up over that thing. He captures Sentinel's regal look and proportions well, there's some pretty nice articulation, and I enjoy the transformation. And really a Studio Series level Sentinel Prime headsculpt was always gonna be irresistible. 9. Studio Series Scrapper: Coming in right after Sentinel, here's his wave mate! Oh man was I excited for this figure. 10 year old
Some interesting new Studio Series listings
It took me like 5 minutes to figure out how to start a journal with this site layout lmao https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/studio-series-leader-grindor-and-ravage-and-86-deluxe-gnaw-and-rotf-sideswipe.1194700/ https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/studio-series-rotf-bumblebee-w-sam-and-studio-series-jolt-listings.1194695/ (Jesus Christ do not read the comments) I pretty much never do a journal on something as small and random as this anymore but I wanted to get some thoughts out about this. "Deluxe 86 Gnaw".... this goes along with the Leader class "86 Grimlock" listing from the other day, which I was a little concerned about but thought might just be a silly one off redeco inspired by the 86 movie's 35th anniversary, or even a typo, but uhhh doesn't seem like it. Looks like we're getting G1 figures in Studio Series now... The Transformers brand has just gotten ridiculous with the G1 at this point. Getting G1 figures in fuckin Studio Series when we're right in the middle of
Toy Fair 2020
It's that wonderful time of the year, Toy Fair! Our first one of the 2020s! Let's talk about some of the Transformers that were shown off, after most of them being leaked the day before, as is starting to become tradition...
EARTHRISE
I've gotta be honest, Generations interests me less and less these days. I just really don't like the WFC trilogy's direction of making everything so G1 cartoon slavish, I miss when Generations figures felt like updates of G1 characters and weren't just about cartoon accuracy. I haven't gotten much at all from Siege and I don't plan to get that much from Earthrise, but hey, I'll talk about what's new.

Studio Series Devastator fully revealed!
It's been years since I made journals about individual pieces of news, buttt this happened today and I just really wanted to make a quick journal on it. The last two Constructicons! And Devastator himself!
Overload looks awesome. I pretty much guessed that he wouldn't be the crab concept, because the Legends toy and every brief appearance he made in the 2009 days used the bipedal design so I figure that's the "final" one, so I'm not disappointed in that. He has the four MASSIVE arms with all of the brutal looking hand weapons so I'm happy there. Really wanna see how effective his articulation will be though, it's hard to tell. Alt mode looks

Autobots Unite set is a definite buy for me, as is Brainstorm. I'll probably get Bombshell too now, and I'm gonna try and get a Skrapnel and hope they release Kickback at some point. I'm not sure about Chromia. Might get her to go with Windblade, but Arcee is a definite pass.
